I am excited to learn WITH you this year!
Hello and welcome to Team 8! I am Mrs. Lindsay Hayes, the collaborative teacher in all subjects for eighth grade. I am also a mother of three children who also attend ATS...Go Tigers!
I grew up not far from here in Flemington, NJ; and graduated from Hunterdon Central before attending The College of New Jersey where I studied to become a special educator, receiving my undergraduate degree and a Masters in Education. I am fortunate to continue my work there as an adjunct professor in the Special Education, Language & Literacy department there.
My teaching career began on the island of Maui through the Hawaii Department of Education; followed by my return to the Flemington-Raritan Regional School District. After a few years spent in Ohio for my husband's job, our family returned to NJ; settling in Alexandria Township, where I jumped at the chance to work where my children would be attending school. I love the community here, and being a part of supporting and preparing our students as we send them off to high school!
Outside of school, I enjoy anything outdoors; including running, cycling, and triathlon. I was a competitive runner throughout high school and college; and the challenge of longer triathlons post-college. I am enjoying coaching my own daughter through Girls on the Run, catching up over a few miles on the trail with my son who runs XC, and keeping up with our youngest as he pedals ahead of me on his bike!
